The Governing Council and Management of Osun State University, led respectively by the Pro-Chancellor, Professor Wale Oladipo, and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, on Wednesday, 5th November 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the University’s Chancellor, Apostle (Mrs) Folorunso Alakija, in Lagos for the official signing and handover ceremony of the Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Medical Research and Training Hospital to the University. The historic event took place at the Famfa Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria is currently hosting the Modelling for Decisions in a Dynamic (MoDD) Africa project funded by the Wellcome Trust through the Ifakara Health Institute. The project aims to develop a collaborative network of African modellers with expertise in geospatial analysis, epidemiology, and health systems.
