Functions/Responsibilities of the Unit
The Payroll Management System covenant with the monetary aspects of employee’s remuneration, stipends, subtractions, gross pay, net pay etc.. and creation of pay-slips for a particular time period.
Our Payroll Management System provides the command to:
- Deal with Employee Information professionally.
- Describes in detail about the compensation, deductions, leaves etc.
- Generates all the Reports related to an employee, attendance/leave, payroll etc.
- Creates Pay-record and Pay Sheet all at the click of a mouse.
- Create and administer appropriately the Payroll Processes according to the remuneration configuration allocated to the individual employee.
The financial records of our organisations employees’ salaries, wages, bonuses, allowances, and deductions are handled by payroll.
Salary refers to the amount employees are paid for services rendered during a specific period. It is essential because laws and regulations govern it (e.g. in Nigeria, Payroll is subject to Personal Income Tax Acts).
The core objective of payroll processing is to make sure that there are no discrepancies, and the employee is paid impartially every month.
This may sound like a straightforward task, there are many stages involved. The final salary includes countless additions and deductions such as taxes, insurance, provident fund, gratuity, and others.
Payroll unit is saddled with responsibilities below:-
- Issuing payslips, which is done electronically
- Reporting and submitting payroll taxes (income tax and social security contributions) to the respective authorities.
- Ensuring payroll compliance by filing other mandatory reports for which payroll data is required
- Keeping payroll records and fulfilling other payroll accounting tasks
