While briefing the Ooni, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adekunle Okesina commended the Chancellor for his support and informed him that the next convocation ceremony was tentatively fixed for September 21, 2013.

In his response, Oba Sijuwade eulogized Professor Olawoyin whom he described as his intimate son and described other members of Council as committed group of people with wealth of experience. In line with tradition of university during convocation ceremonies, Oba Sijuwade promised to attend the convocation to perform his obligation as Chancellor.

At the palace were other Council members, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin Aroyinkeye II, the Orangun Oke Ila, royal highnesses and high chiefs.
