Newsimg jvlastnews_thumbThe Director/Coordinator of Osun State University Centre for Entrepreneurial Education, Professor Ishola Rufus Akintoye, has said that the recent directive from the Federal Government of Nigeria and the National Universities Commission that all tertiary institutions in Nigeria should establish a Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies is a motivation and hope of a self-sustaining economy in the very near future. 

Professor Akintoye made this statement while flagging off the commencement of entrepreneurial training for final year students of Osun State University on Saturday, 23rd February, 2013. He advised the students to be serious with the training, disclosing that one of the participants in last session’s training, Mr. David Okeowo, a youth corper, was invited by the Jigawa State government to lead the Entrepreneurial Unit of the State. 

The training is expected to feature Prof Jide Oladele from Ekiti State University; Dr. Phillip Segun Olowolaju, former Group Managing Director of Ondo State Investment and Chairman of Ondo/Ekiti Assets Sharing Committee; Dr Raphael Ajani, Managing Director of Graphel Publishers Osogbo; Mr. Mutiu Bashiru, an entrepreneur from Ogun State; Mr Suraju Adelana, Managing Director of Royal Enterprises, Ogba in Lagos, Mrs Gbemi Apara, an entrepreneur/fashion designer in Osogbo; Miss Olaide Oladeji an entrepreneur/soap maker in Ibadan as well as Prof Olayiwola Oladele, Prof Taiwo Asaolu and Dr. O. A. Ilesanmi, from Osun State University.
