Biosketch:
Oluseun A. AKINSOROTAN is a Wildlife conservationist at Osun State University. She specializes in ecology and social aspects of biodiversity conservation. She is the first to provide a baseline information on the status of wild animals in two protected areas in Nigeria, Old Oyo National Park and Okomu National Park, respectively, employing a non-invasive camera trap and line transect distance sampling technique. She has published scientific articles in both local and international journals. Additionally, she has conducted social research projects to investigate sensitive conservation issues in and around some Nigerian protected areas using a cutting-edge, quantitative social research technique designed specifically to investigate illicit conservation behaviour and illegal wildlife resource use.
