Brief History
Faculty of Computing and Information Technology was established on December 14, 2023 and has rapidly grown into a center of excellence. Our journey which began with a single Department of Computer Science in 2007, has expanded to reflect the evolving landscape of the IT industry, the growing demand for skilled professionals and equip students for the ever-evolving world of Computing and Information Technology.

Research Activities
Our faculty places a high emphasis on research. Our scientists and students are working on cutting-edge research projects that address real-world problems while promoting technological innovation in all areas of computing. We also do research collaborations with other faculties both inside and outside of the university.
Our faculty is planning to float a faculty journal that will provide a platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research in all areas of computing and information technology.

Our Computing Departments
The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at Osun State University, Osogbo Campus comprises seven (7) accredited departments offering B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programmes in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Library and Information Science, and Software Engineering. All programmes are fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and designed to meet global IT industry standards.

Cyber Security
