Biosketch:

Dr. Adewumi, A. A. graduated from the University of Ibadan with Ph.D in 2006. He started his career as an academics in Bowen University, Iwo as a Lecturer II in the Department of Animal Science and Fisheries. He joined the services of Osun State University on 2nd October, 2008. He has served in different administrative capacities in Osun State University such as pioneer Co-ordinator of the Department of Environmental Resources Management between  2009 and 2012;   Ag.Head of Department,  Wildlife and Ecotourism Management 2020-2022; Sub-Dean Postgraduate ,      F- RNRM 2021-2023; and Ag.Dean Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources Management,  2023/2024 Academic Session.

His other administrative activities also include College Sport Officer, 2014 – 2017; College Sub-Dean Student Affairs, 2014- 2016;  College Representative, Business Committee of Senate 2016-2018; and Chairman, College Environment and Maintenance Committee, 2017-2018. His area of research is Wildlife Conservation and Management (Wildlife domestication  and Ranching). He was the Principal Researcher of  2 Million Naira grant of TETFund awarded in 2014 on the Proposal titled:  Preliminary Evaluation of Ostrich Husbandry in Osun State. Dr Adewumi has presented papers at conferences both locally and  internationally in recent and relevant Association. He has till date Seventeen years of cognate experience in teaching, research and administration in the University.

Dr Abraham Adebayo Adewumi has made substantial research contribution in the area of wildlife Management through his publications and teaching.
