Brief Educational Profile
Dr. Toyese Friday Oyewusi is an Agricultural and Environmental Engineer with a strong academic background in renewable energy, environmental sustainability, soil and water engineering, and biomass utilization. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Agricultural Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria, in 2008, where his undergraduate research focused on the Dynamic Determination of Sorption Isotherm of Stabilized Laterite, providing a foundation in soil engineering and material characterization. He subsequently earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2016, specializing in renewable energy through his thesis titled A Study on Production of Briquettes from Corncobs, which investigated the conversion of agricultural residues into sustainable solid biofuels. He further obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2021, with a doctoral dissertation titled A Study on Compost Extract for Fertigation of Selected Vegetables, focusing on sustainable soil fertility management, wastewater reuse, and environmentally friendly agricultural production systems.
His academic training has provided broad expertise spanning agricultural waste valorization, bioenergy production, soil and water conservation, environmental pollution control, irrigation and drainage engineering, and sustainable resource management. Through his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies, he acquired advanced knowledge and practical research skills in experimental design, laboratory analysis, process optimization, environmental assessment, statistical modelling, and engineering applications for sustainable agriculture. This multidisciplinary educational foundation has shaped his research and teaching career, enabling him to contribute significantly to the advancement of renewable energy technologies, circular bioeconomy, climate-smart agriculture, and environmental sustainability. He currently serves as Lecturer I in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria, where he teaches Soil and Water/Environmental related courses while supervising research in agricultural engineering, environmental management, and renewable energy.

Current/Recent Research
Dr. Oyewusi's current research focuses on developing sustainable engineering solutions for climate change mitigation, renewable energy production, and environmental management. His recent work encompasses the conversion of agricultural and agro-industrial wastes into value-added bio-products, including briquettes, biogas, biodiesel, and biochar; renewable energy technologies for sustainable farm management; soil and water management for improved crop productivity; biomass reuse in construction materials; and farmstead planning and design. His recent publications also address wastewater reuse, soil conservation, sustainable bioeconomy, environmental pollution control, and clean energy systems, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to sustainable agricultural and environmental engineering.
