Brief Educational Profile

Dr. Kazeem Ishola is an academic civil engineer specialising in geotechnical engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso (2024), an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (2014), and a B.Tech. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from LAUTECH (2007). He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (2010) and a Certificate in Data Processing and Information Technology (2008). He is a Registered Engineer with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). His research and teaching focus on: geotechnical engineering, soil stabilisation, sustainable construction materials, pavement materials, and the use of agricultural and industrial wastes to improve lateritic soils. He currently conducts research on the use of cashew leaf ash, biopolymers, and sustainable additives to improve the engineering properties of lateritic soils, particularly their strength, durability, and compaction, for infrastructure development. He has also participated in research on soil stabilisation, pavement construction, the utilisation of agricultural wastes, and the remediation of contaminated soils

Current/Recent Research

1. Shear strength characteristics of compacted NIBRRI Pozoalan-treated lateritic soil.
2. Compaction characteristics of lateritic soil amended with mango leaf and cement.
3. Strength and durability characteristics of lateritic soil treated with cashew leaf ash.
4. Remediation of contaminated soils using biopolymers.
5. Optimization of Agricultural Waste for Use in Lateritic Soil as a Sustainable Foundation Material
6. Effects of volumetric shrinkage and hydraulic conductivity on the geotechnical properties of cashew leaf ash-treated lateritic soil.
