Current/Recent Research

Assessment of Construction Materials for Hydraulic Barrier and Flexible Pavement. Construction material (Lateritic soil) was assessed to provide needed information on its strength characteristics as well as engineering performance for use in construction of hydraulic barrier in other to reduce the flow of contaminated material into underground water.
Also, research was carried out on the use of both agricultural and quarry waste products to enhance the engineering performance of construction materials used in road pavement. This will reduce the overdependence on the use of conventional materials like cement and lime, reduce the volume of waste in our environment, and also reduce road construction cost without affecting their performance and requirements.
