Current/Recent Research
Article 1 confirmed Titanium dioxide nanoparticles-functionalized hydroxyapatite efficient removal of bisphenol A from aqueous media. Article 2 revealed that dielectric spectroscopy offered a promising alternative to other expensive and highly technical methods for detecting adulteration in edible oils. Article 3 confirmed that microplastic exposure in food crops can be reduced with policies that regulate plastic waste disposal and promote sustainable farming practices. Articles 4 involved Characterization of cellulose from waste baobab pod for future utilization in wastewater treatment. Article 5 involved Risk avaluation Associated with Abelmuscus Esculentus consumption grown on decommissioned goldmine sediment and water. Article 6 revealed Potential consequences of water-soluble acetaminophen-chromium combination in Clarias gariepinus: bioaccumulation and oxidative perturbations of antioxidant enzyme activities. Article 7 confirmed Dye degradation and molecular docking mechanism of Terminalia catappa mediated mesoporous titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Article 8 revealed AgNPs-TiO2NPs doped calcined hydroxyapatite for effective removal of ibuprofen and Acetaminophen. Article 9 involved characterization and denaturation status of acid soluble collagen from cat fish skin. Article 10 involved foliar application of silver nanoparticles differentially intervenes remediation statuses and oxidative stress indicators in Abelmoschus esculentus planted on gold-mined soil. Article 11 confirmed energy saving option for production of pure α – alumina for industrial applications using waste aluminium dross. Article 12 revealed the responses of Moringa oleifera to alteration in soil properties induced by calcium nanoparticles (CaNPs) on mineral absorption, physiological indices and photosynthetic indicators. This research area has contributed commendably in reputable journal (Q3) with high impact factor.
Owing to vast reactivities of nanostructured materials, their applications as appropriate adsorbents for dye and heavy metals remediation comprising synthesis and surface functionalization were described in articles 13, 14, 15. Article 16 revealed the temperature-dependent synthesis and characterization of hydroxyapatite sorbent from periwinkle shell. The articles (17 and 18) were on synthesis of biogenic adsorbents for remediation, suggesting adsorption technique as best option. This research area has contributed commendably in reputable journals (Q1 and Q2) with high impact factors. Article 19 was on detoxification of Azadirachta indica seed cake by alcoholysis and its inclusion in animal feed formulation as an alternative source of protein. Article 20 involved adsorption of rhodamine-B dye on functionalized hydroxyapatite-chitosan-titanium dioxide nanoparticles.
Recently, my research focus in analytical and environmental chemistry has delved into green synthesis, characterization and applications of nanoparticles and nanostructured materials.

Research Interests
My research areas in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry have contributed significantly to knowledge and have impacted positively on humanity. It involves analysis of water, wastewater, soil, food samples and vegetables for heavy metals, proximate, phytochemical and functional properties analysis. It also covers synthesis, characterization and application of biogenic wastes for the treatment of industrial wastewaters. It also involves the use of nanosized materials for remediation of water, wastewater and soil contaminants.
