The Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye has approved the appointment of Professor Oguntola Jelil Alamu of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, as the Acting Provost of the Postgraduate College, effective Monday, January 5, 2026. The appointment comes as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and enhance academic excellence across its postgraduate programmes.

The management of Osun State University, under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, will on Thursday, December 4, 2025, officially matriculate its newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m., will be held simultaneously across all Colleges of the University.

The Governing Council and Management of Osun State University, led respectively by the Pro-Chancellor, Professor Wale Oladipo, and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, on Wednesday, 5th November 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the University’s Chancellor, Apostle (Mrs) Folorunso Alakija, in Lagos for the official signing and handover ceremony of the Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Medical Research and Training Hospital to the University. The historic event took place at the Famfa Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.
