The Vice-Chancellor who was represented by the Deputy ViceChancellor, Professor Ganiyu Olatunde, gave this assurance in his opening remarks at the one-day capacity building workshop on NHIS and Disaster/Emergency Management for staff and students, held on Friday, April 4, 2013 in the Main Auditorium of the institution. He admonished staff and students to utilise the opportunity brought to their door steps.
According to him, ‘health is wealth and only healthy human beings can be productive.’ In his presentation, the Ibadan Zonal Coordinator of NHIS, Pharm. Taiye Adeleye, disclosed that health system is not being well funded in this country and the sure way of easily accessing quality health care system at affordable cost is to enroll in the NHIS/TITSHIP programme.
