Payroll & Pension Unit
The Payroll & Pension Unit of the Osun State University Bursary Department administers staff remuneration systems including salaries, allowances, statutory deductions, pensions and payroll compliance. The unit ensures that employees are paid accurately and promptly while maintaining compliance with Nigerian financial and taxation regulations.
Payroll Administration
The Payroll Management System oversees the financial aspects of employee compensation including salaries, stipends, allowances, deductions, gross pay and net pay. The system generates payslips, payroll reports and salary records for each payment cycle.
Payroll operations ensure that employee remuneration complies with statutory requirements such as the Nigerian Personal Income Tax Act and other payroll regulations governing public sector institutions.
Compliance & Accuracy
Payroll administration requires strict compliance with financial regulations to ensure that employee payments are accurate, transparent and properly documented. The unit ensures that all payroll deductions including taxes and statutory contributions are processed and reported to the appropriate authorities.

Processing employee salary payments and payroll records.
Generating electronic payslips and payroll statements.
Maintaining employee compensation and deduction records.
Reporting and submitting payroll taxes to regulatory authorities.
Maintaining payroll accounting records and employee salary files.
Preparing payroll reports for management and institutional planning.
Payroll compliance ensures that Osun State University adheres to national payroll regulations by maintaining detailed employee salary records including personal information, job titles, compensation structure, statutory deductions and payroll history.
