OSUN STATE UNIVERSITY SET TO EXPAND IGR AS VENTURES BOARD HOLDS MAIDEN MEETING

UNIOSUN set to expand IGR Venture Board NEWThe action plan to expand the Internally Generated Revue (IGR) base of Osun State University has been revealed as the University Ventures Board held its maiden meeting on Thursday, 8th June, 2017.

The meeting, held in the Council Chamber, Main Campus Osogbo, was attended by Engr. Tunde Ponnle as Chairman and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Labode Popoola as member.
Engr. Ponnle is the Chairman of Mic-com Golf, Ada Osun State and an external Council member of Osun State University.
Other members of the Board include the Registrar and Bursar as members and the Assistant Registrar, Legal Unit as the Secretary and legal adviser to the Board.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Board, Engr. Ponnle described the innovation as a milestone achievement initiated by the Vice-Chancellor.
He expressed optimism that the University would be seen as a pacesetter for other public institutions and a household name in the country in the next few years.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor thanked members of the Board for their commitment to the development of the University and maintained that the Board was created to generate fund for the system as is being done in some private universities.
The vision of the Ventures Board includes establishment of a Microfinance Bank, Laundry Services, Paint Making, bread production, production of convocation gowns, furniture and blocks making.
