The team was led by the National Chairman, Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Engr. Prof. Adisa Bello. Other members of the team were Engr. Ademola Oyinlola (Chairman, Osun NIMechE), Engr. Akin Akintola, Engr. Hon. Adeniran Felix Ibitoye (Chairman, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Osogbo Branch) amd many others.

In his welcome address, the Acting Vice Chancellor thanked the Institution for what it has been contributing to the development of Mechanical Engineering in the country and admonished the institution not to relent in its efforts in making sure its members adhere striclty to the ethics and norms of the Institution in carrying out their duties as engineers.

In his remarks, the National Chairman of the institution, Engr. Prof. Adisa Bello thanked the University management for the warm reception accorded his team. He specifically thanked the Acting Vice Chancellor for the support that the State branch has been receiving from him. He stated further that one of the purpose of coming to the University was to felicitate with Prof. Alamu, who was recently appointed as the Acting Vice Chancellor of Osun State University.

In the same vein, the Nigerian Instituiton of Mechanical Engineers also gave a special award to the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oguntola J. Alamu during the annual Fellowship Award and Lecture organised by the institution on the 30th July, 2015.
