Biosketch:
Oguntola Jelil ALAMU is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering. His research interests are in Thermodynamics of materials, Fluid flow and Renewable energy. He has made a few contributions to knowledge in the area of Engineering economy in pipe flow, heat transfer problems, Simulation of hot rolling of HCSS316, and more prominently in Biodiesel potentials of Nigerian palm kernel oil (PKO), as well as characterization of a few non-edible oil crops as Biofuel. He has published widely in local and high impact international journals of repute with modest presence on Google Scholar, ResearchGate and other global research databases. He is a Co-Investigator on UNESCO-International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD)-UNIOSUN Project on Empowering Women and Youth Entrepreneurship in Southwest Nigeria ($100,000; Grant No. 2022-10302). He has attended local and international conferences across Africa, Asia and the United Kingdom, and, has been key participant at programmes of Association of West Africa Universities (AWAU) as well as Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). He is a proven University Administrator having served on the University Governing Council and as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria for almost two years. Professor Oguntola Jelil Alamu is the Director of Centre for Renewable Resources at Osun State University and Editor-In-Chief, Uniosun Journal of Engineering & Environmental Sciences.
