Biosketch:

Professor Mojeed Olujinmi A. Alabi holds dual faculty positions as Professor in the Department of Public & International Law at the College of Law and Professor in the Department of Political Science at the College of Management and Social Sciences, Osun State University, Nigeria. He is a Governance Expert, Policy Consultant and Legal Practitioner, who has his research and consultancy activities focused on the reform of governance institutions, particularly the role of the judiciary and the legislature in facilitating good governance. He is the author of several books such as Constitutionalism in Nigeria: Politics and Law in an Emerging African Democracy (2022); ECOWAS Court and Regional Integration in West Africa (2016); “Politics and Law: Anatomy of the Siamese Twins” (Inaugural Lecture, 2014); the Supreme Court in the Nigerian Political System 1963-1997 (2002); co-author of the Legislature in Nigeria’s Presidential Democracy of the Fourth Republic: Power, Process and Development (2023); and Perspectives on the Legislature in the Government of Nigeria (2010); and editor of Unbroken Legacy of Service: Speaker Bello’s Twelve Years under Three Administrations in Osun State (2011). He has several articles in learned journals and books, in addition to commissioned papers and public presentations. His most recent consultancy work for UNDP (2020-21) centred on Legal Drafting Frameworks for Peace Building in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria . He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and has been in legal practice through his law firm, Mojeed Alabi & Co (ADEBOLA CHAMBERS), since he was called to the Bar in 1993. He is currently the Provost, College of Law, Ifetedo Campus of Osun State University.
