Biosketch:

Dr. Mikail Adebisi Folorunsho of the College of Humanities and Culture of Osun State University. He has his PhD in Arabic Literature from the University of Ibadan in 2007.  He joined the services of Osun State University, Osogbo, as a Senior Lecturer in 2016. He was formerly the Sub-Dean, Postgraduate, Faculty of Humanities, and currently the Acting Dean, Faculty of Culture, College of Humanities and Culture, Osun State University. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2019.

His forte is the analytical study of the Arabic literary productions of Nigeria authorship. Over the years of his engagement in teaching and research in Arabic language and literature, he has delved into various aspects of Arabic scholarship. His contributions may be classified into three broad areas: inquiries into the contributions of the Arabic literati in Nigeria to Arabic literary culture, critical study of their Arabic literary productions and documentation of the diffusion of Arabic literary scholarship in Yorubaland. 

He has over 40 publications in local and international Journals within the scope of Arabic scholarship. In addition to Arabic literature which is his major area of specialization, he has published works on Arabic linguistics, pedagogy and grammar.
