Dr. M. O. Abanikannda is a pioneer academic staff of the Osun State University, Osogbo. An expert in science and technology education and an instructional technology consultant, with bias for instructional design and evaluation. Abanikannda holds degrees of prestigious universities in Science, Science Education and Technology Education. Dr. Abanikannda has travelled wide and garnered quite a lot of experiences by attending learned conferences, workshops, seminars as well as conducting training programmes for organizations and institutions within and outside the shores of Nigeria. He has as well published numerous articles in reputable journals and contributed chapters in quality books. Dr. M.O. Abanikannda belongs to more than 10 professional national and international bodies.

Aside other numerous studies conducted in the field of science, technology and mathematics education, Dr. Abanikannda has researched into open, distance and e-learning techniques, digital learning technologies, ubiquitous learning technologies, and improvement of learning through the design, production and evaluation of modern online and offline instructional strategies in the field of science.
