Biosketch:

Oluwabukola Ala is a physician and endocrinologist specializing in general medicine, endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. She conducts research in the areas of diabetes, metabolism, and reproductive endocrinology. She has published notable articles on diabetes, including studies on insulin resistance and total plasma homocysteine levels in type 2 diabetes patients in South West Nigeria. He has also worked on the prevalence and determinants of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) use among diabetes patients in Southwestern Nigeria. She is also a co-author of the book "Companion to Tropical Medicine."
