Olugbenga Temitope FAJEMILA holds a PhD in Geoscience from the University of Bonn, Germany. He was appointed Assistant Lecturer at Osun State University in March, 2011, after a successful career at an Oil Service Company in Lagos. He has studied more than 100 wells within the Niger Delta, and other sedimentary basins in the Nigerian setting. For the first time, he documented more than 400 shallow water benthic foraminifera from the southeast pacific island of Moorea which is a stepping stone towards the coral triangle high diversity hotspot of the western pacific. This monograph was published as Special Publication 48 of the Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research in 2020. Dr. Fajemila was a potential contributor to the STRATCOM (Stratigraphic Committee of the Niger Delta) project on the subsurface stratigraphy of Nigeria’s foremost basin, Niger Delta. He is currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Geological Sciences.
