Biosketch:
Felix Olusanjo OLATUNJI is a Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosohpy at Osun State University. His research with focuses on Philosophy of Culture and Socio-political Philosophy. Professor Olatunji studied Philosophy at the Seminary of Saints Peter and Paul, Ibadan (an affiliate of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and Pontifical Urban University, Rome, Italy) with Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) degree; and later attended University of Ibadan, Ibadan for his graduate studies with Master of Arts (M.A.) and Ph.D degrees – all in Philosophy. He taught in the Department of General Studies (Philosophy Unit) and Department of Philosophy, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria from October 10, 2008 till July 31, 2023. He had served as visiting lecturer and as well as adjunct lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria before his permanent appointment as a Professor of Philosophy and also as the Head of the Department in August 2023.
He has been an external examiner at graduate level to the Department of Philosophy, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; Department of Philosophy, University of Benin, Benin-City, and Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso. Also, he has served as professorial assessor in the Department of Philosophy, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria. He has published journal articles locally and in international reputable outlets; and presented papers in international conferences. He is also a visible participant in community service.
He is the initiator and member of Editorial Board, Cogito: Journal of Philosophy and Social Inquiry, Department of Philosophy; also the initiator of Dialogue in Humanities journal, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, all in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He is a member of the Editorial Board, Journal of Philosophy and Life, Imam Bukhari International Research Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Philosophical Society of Uzbekistan. He serves as a reviewer to the following journals: Second Order: An African Journal of Philosophy, Department of Philosophy, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria; and Dialogue in Humanities Journal, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. Also, he was a Guest Editor (between September 2019 – May 2020), Special Issue on “African Thought and Dialogue”, Journal of Culture and Dialogue, Vol. 8, No. 1, published by Brill in May 2020.
