The faculty is located in the College of Humanities and Culture, Ikire Campus, alongside Faculty of Humanities. It was formally established in 2022 with Professor Mikail Adebisi Folorunsho as the pioneer Ag. Dean. The faculty has five departments, namely: Linguistics and Communication Studies, Philosophy, Theatre Arts, Tourism Studies and Yoruba. All the departments in the faculty have full accreditation from National Universities Commission for the award of Bachelor of Arts degrees. The programmes in the faculty reflect the true essence of Yoruba cultural heritage as found in the academic activities of all the departments. There are so many committees that coordinate the activities and affairs of the faculty thereby complementing the roles of the dean.
