AWOBIFA, Marcus Oladepo

Mr. Awobifa, Marcus Oladepo received his B.PA degree from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in 2007 and Master in Public Administration from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in 2012.

He started his career with Osun State Government in 1982 and rose to the rank of Chief Confidential Secretary in 2004. He transferred his service to Osun State University on 1st January, 2008. In October 2008, the Governing Council approved his conversion to the rank of Senior Assistant Registrar and was later promoted to the rank of Principal Assistant Registrar in 2013.

Mr. Awobifa is a member of Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA), Shorthand Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Reports (ICSR), Osun State Branch. He has served in many Committees both at the College and the University levels. He has also worked in the Corporate Affairs Unit and the College Office where he served with zeal, determination and diligence. He is currently the Director, the Advancement Office.

Within the last six years, he has received three commendation letters. In recognition of his excellence performance, he was also given Osun State Merit Award in 1998. He has attended many local and international Seminars and Workshops.

The Advancement Office is established for the following objectives:
• stimulating the interest of the public in the affairs of the University; 
• for the day-to-day running of financial self-sustainability;
• for projecting positive image brand, 
• for maintaining and sustaining a dynamic Alumni database, 
• for effective tracking and cultivation of mutually beneficial relationships with the alumni and other relevant stakeholders, 
• for facilitating public, private partnerships for efficient management of municipal facilities,

OJO, Adeleke Araoye

 1. Born in Odeomu, Osun State in 1941 and attended University of Ibadan 1974 – 1977 (B. Sc. Nursing, 1977);

2. Attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife, 1980 – 1985 (M. Phil. Medical Sociology) and University of Ibadan 1986 – 1991 (Ph. D. Health Education);

3. Worked as Nurse Educator at OAUTHC, Ile – Ife (1978 - 1991) and rose to the post of Assistant Chief Nurse Educator;

4. Transferred service to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife, 1992 and rose to be Senior Lecturer where he served as the Head of Nursing Science department during periods of 1993/ 94; 2002/ 03 and 2004/ 05;

5. Served as an Associate Professor (on sabbatical) at Moi University, Eldonet, Kenya in 2001/ 2002;

6. Had supervised many post Graduate students in Nursing;

7. Retired from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife, in 2007 as a Senior Lecturer and appointed as a visiting Professor of Nursing at Igbinedion University Okada, in 2007;

8. Promoted to be a Professor of Nursing in 2009 and served as the Head of Nursing Department, Okada, 2007;

9. Appointed as Dean of Post Graduate School in 2011; Director of Academic planning from 2010 – 2015 and resigned in 2015;

10. Appointed as Professor of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, UNIOSUN in 2015 till date.

Prof. Janet Olubukola OLAITAN

 Prof. Janet Olubukola Olaitan joined the services of Osun State University as one of the pioneer staff in 2007. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree (Microbiology) in 1992 from Lagos State University. She had her Master of Science and PhD in Microbiology from University of Ibadan in 1998 and 2005 respectively. Prof. Olaitan started her carrier as an Assistant lecturer at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) in 1999 and became Lecturer I in 2005. She was appointed Senior Lecturer in 2009 at the Osun State University, Osogbo and rose to the rank of Professor of Public Health and Environmental Microbiology in 2015. She is a member of some learned and professional associations including Nigerian Association of Microbiology (NSM), American Association of Microbiology (ASM), Society For Applied Microbiology (SfAM, UK), American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), International Union of Microbiological Societies as well as West African Research and Innovation Management Association. 

Prof. Olaitan has accumulated a wealth of experience in administration over the years. She was the pioneer Coordinator and Acting Head of Department of Biological Sciences of the University between 2008 and 2011. She served as the Acting Dean of Student Affairs between 2011 and 2013. She was the pioneer Acting Dean of Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences in 2013 and Acting Provost of College of Sciences, Engineering and Technology in 2015/16. She was elected the Dean of Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences and appointed the Provost of College of Sciences, Engineering and Technology in 2016. She served in these positions till her election as DVC(Admin) on 28th April 2017. She is the Congregational Representative on Uniosun Council.

She has several published academic papers in both Local and International Journals. She has been an external examiner to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa and Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She is an editor UNIOSUN journal of Science and also a peer reviewer to Nigerian Journal of Science, Nigerian Journal of Microbiology, the Research Journal of Health Sciences and African Health Sciences. She had won Tetfund Research grant and Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM) President’s Fund Grant. She is a PhD external examiner to universities within and outside Nigeria. She has also attended several scientific meetings and presented papers both at home and outside the country.

Dr. Olonade attended Oyo State College of Education Ila-Orangun for NCE Certificate. He had his first degree in Guidance and Counseling, with Second Class (Upper Division) from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife for his Masters of Science Degree in Psychology, specializing in Industrial/Organisational Psychology. He also bagged his Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from the same Obafemi Awolowo University. Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He joined the service of Osun State University on the 4th of July 2014, as a Lecturer II in the Department of Human Resource Development.

Dr. Olonade is an effective and committed teacher and a diligent scholar.  He has considerable experience in lecturing as demonstrated in various courses taught which include:  Basic Psychology, Introduction to Statistics, Statistical Methods and Application to Human Resource, Recruitment Selection and Placement. Performance Management and Motivation, Organisational Behaviour, Corporate Social Responsibility and Management Information System. Born at Ikire in 1955 with Muslim background later converted to Christian. I had my primary and secondary modern school education at Ikire. I attended Grd. II Teachers’ College at Baptist College, Iwo between 1976 and 1980. I went to Lagos State College of Education, now Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin, Lagos State, for my NCE between 1981 and 1984. I had my NYSC in 1984/1985. After which I went to University of Jos for my B.Sc. (Ed) Economics. in 1992. I did my M.Sc. Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, 2001, M.Ed. Industrial Education from University of Ibadan in 2007 and Ph.D. from the same University in 2015, I have worked in Primary School between 1979 and 1981; Secondary Grammar School 1985 to 1997; Educational Secretary between 1997 and 2000; Osun State College of Education, Ila between 2004 and 2014. Am since 2014 working with Osun state University, Osogbo

Kolawole Sunday AJIBOLA joined UNIOSUN as a pioneer staff on 22nd October, 2007 as an Administrative Officer and rose through the ranks to the Principal Executive Officer in October 1, 2010. He was the pioneer University Examination Officer in-charge of Exams and Records from October, 2010 till 27th August, 2013. As an administrative staff, he served in several committees. He assumed duty as an academic staff on the 28th August, 2013 as a Graduate Assistant and became an Assistant Lecturer in January, 2016 in the department of Human Resource Development of the University.

He bagged Higher National Diploma (Statistics) with Upper Credit, from The Polytechnic Ibadan, obtained B. Sc. Industrial Relations and Personnel Management passed with First Class Honours at the Osun State University (UNIOSUN), M. Sc. Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at the University of Lagos and Master of Personnel Psychology at the University of Ibadan. He won the best graduating student departmental award during 2011/2012 academic session. His research interest is in Human Resource Management.
He is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and Association of University Administrator (AUA), United Kingdom.
