Biosketch:

Betty Olojede is a chartered quantity surveyor and an academic at Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. She has more than a decade of practical experience in procurement of construction works across both the private and the public sectors. Her scholarly research interests and publications have contributed to the repertoire of knowledge on partnering and traditional systems of infrastructure procurement in the construction industry. These particularly establish the PPP programme delivery capabilities of public-sector organizations in developing countries for enhanced delivery of sustainable PPP projects; validate the novelty of the current technological innovations of building construction in Nigeria and establish the high prospects of the buildings’ technologically innovative long-term solutions to aid Nigeria’s economic development and growth; confirm the requisite management functions for variations control in traditional project procurement systems for uninterrupted success rates of infrastructure developments in Nigeria; and reveal the trajectory of gender imbalance in quantity surveying profession in Nigeria, thus inciting the needs for the industry and the professional bodies to stimulate female-gender inclusiveness in cost management of construction projects, towards achieving increased project success rates.
